What happens when music crosses new thresholds?

PlenaMENTE Libre is born.

 

This social responsibility initiative is created and driven by Plena Libre to bring music, education, and our culture to new spaces, creating opportunities to connect, learn, express ourselves, and transform. This is a project that starts with plena, but goes far beyond the music. We will share the stories, the people, and the projects that will be part of this journey.

 

We began with our first project: a series of plena workshops developed in partnership with the University Studies Program for Incarcerated Persons at UPR Río Piedras, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and the Institute of Fine Arts and University Studies at the Bayamón Correctional Complex.

 

This is just the first step in an initiative that fills us with pride and that we want to continue expanding to new sectors. There are things that are heard. There are things that leave a mark. And there are rhythms that transcend walls.
